As 2017 draws to a close, I have so much for which to be thankful--a wonderful family, a safe, warm home, plenty of food to eat, and enough to share. The Whole Person Night of Independence Gala

The Whole Person celebrated the Inaugural Night of Independence Gala on September 15 at The Gallery in Kansas City, Missouri. The event honored individuals and organizations that are working to further their mission to assist people with disabilities to live independently and featured special guest, deaf advocate Nyle DiMarco.

A Taste of Autumn Wine Event at Trezo Mare

On a lovely fall afternoon over 150 guests attended ‘A Taste of Autumn Wine Event’ on the patio at Trezo Mare. Sommelier Mark Taylor, 
sourced 35 exceptional wines. Chef Jeff Gundy and Pastry Chef Vincente Montero prepared an abundance of exquisite culinary art. 
Guests also enjoyed music by Erica McKenzie.

Northland Animal Welfare Society’s first ever ‘Purses for Paws’ event was a huge success. Organizers of the event, which was a benefit for the low-cost spay and neuter clinic in Gladstone, were thrilled with the turnout and funds raised.

Baby, Please Come Home

Born on June 27, 2017, to Joel and Robin Schneider, Eliora became one of the Northland’s newest residents. While a full-term pregnancy usually falls between 38 and 42 weeks, Eliora was born at 21 weeks, six days. She is the youngest baby to be born and survive at St. Luke’s Hospital.
