Happy new year! 2018 was a great year for me personally and I can’t wait to see what 2019 holds. Here at Northland Lifestyle, January offers a chance for another twelve months of getting to know you, one neighbor at a time.
Of course, most of us have some resolutions each year, many of them fitness related. For a little inspiration, check out our feature story on the KC Illusions synchronized figure skating teams. Although figure skating is most often seen as a solo sport, these teams are moving together to make beautiful routines and keeping in shape while they do it. What does it take to do that? Squats. Lots of squats and plenty of stretching!
Scott Schloegel sets us on the right path financially with his January money ‘to-do’ list. If we set our goals now, we may have even more to celebrate in December of 2019!
As a new (again) mom, I particularly appreciate the green smoothie recipe from Dragonfly Tea Zone. If I can get my veggies in through a straw (and maybe coerce my toddler to do the same), then I’m calling it a win!
Let’s make 2019 a year of joy, accomplished goals, and shared family time, whatever that looks like fo you. As they say in Rent, we have 525,600 minutes this year. Let’s make them count!
