Splash into Summer! 1

Splash pads give kids a chance to let loose and have fun

Sure, we all love a good pool day in the dog days of summer, but if you’re young, a sprinkler will do! Luckily, the Northland has four great splash pads where kids can cut loose and get wet for free. And Mom and Dad, I don’t think anyone will mind if you run through as well!

1. City Park

970 S 291 Hwy

Liberty, MO 64068

City Park was established as Liberty’s first park in 1949. It features picnic shelters, a playground, horseshoe pits, soccer, baseball, and softball fields and a restroom.

2. Ruth Moore Park

401 N Grover St.

Liberty, MO 64068

Ruth Moore Park is named after Liberty’s Park Board Chair in 1954. It lies just a few blocks from the Downtown Square. It features horseshoe pits, a playground, a basketball court, a picnic shelter and a neighborhood orchard.

3. Zona Rosa

8640 N. Dixson Avenue

Kansas City, MO 64153

What’s better after a long day of shopping or a leisurely lunch than a romp in the fountains? Located in the Town Square, the fountains offer a cool respite in the blistering heat.

4. Dagg Park

701 E 21st Avenue

North Kansas City, MO 64116

Dagg Park offers something for everyone–for the under 2 crowd, the woods fountain offers gentle play. For older kids, the ocean theme spraygrounds replicates a day at the beach.
