Talia Beck, 33, an acclaimed Israeli dancer and choreographer, will bring her talents to the University of Kansas for a residency this upcoming fall semester. On campus, Beck will be teaching dance, speaking about her own experiences, and about the dynamic dance culture in Israel. In addition, Beck will be choreographing a dance with students that will be performed at the end of the semester.
Talia Beck has worked for years with one of Israel’s most celebrated dance companies – Inbal Pinto and Avshalom Pollak Dance Company – setting their dances on companies around the world as well as creating new work for the company. With Pinto and Pollack, she collaborated with the renowned Pilobolus dance company on their International Collaboration Project. Beck is also an independent choreographer.
